Ashanti Shequoiya who is better known by the name Ashanti, is a popular American singer and actress. She is an American singer-songwriter and actor. Ashanti was first discovered when she was an 18-year-old and was became signed to Murder Inc. Records in 2002. The same year, she was featured on the Fat Joe's What's Luv? track and Ja Rule's Always On Time track both of which were huge hits. Her songs Foolish (number 1) and What's Luv!
